There is Hope. Recovery Happens.

Addiction and overdose deaths are still on the rise. Recently in Philadelphia, PA 9 people passed from overdose in 36 hours. Allegheny County is reporting more deaths from overdose than car accidents. The CDC is reporting that there are more heroin related deaths than gun homicides. The DEA is saying that this health crisis is “historic proportions”.

There is hope.

There are many people with long term recovery. People are fighting this demon and helping others fight. They are surviving and prospering. Hope is alive and in others. Recovery is possible. I know many people with long term recovery and they tell me that helping others recover helps them stay clean.

We want to change the perception of people who are addicted. Understanding that addiction is NOT a moral failing but is a medical condition.

We would like to hear your stories of hope and recovery. Please take a few minutes and share your story of recovery and hope with others who are still struggling with addiction. If you are in recovery and would like to share your story of hope and recovery please fill out the form below and we will contact you about sharing your post on the Not One More Pittsburgh Chapter’s website and social media pages.

“Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work: you don’t give up.” ~ Anne Lamott
